Example 1: Originally
commissioned for Boothroyd Farm, Hebden Bridge, this design has been repeated
successfully in other situations.
These porches have a stone bench
along the inner wall and display many of the more attractive features
of the early Pennine houses. The moulded stone troughing spans
the single leaf wall and acts as a wall plate, supporting the
ends of the rafters inside the wall.
The original design at Boothroyd
Farm is now beautifully weathered in.
Example 2: A deceptively simple
porch for Shaw Bottom Farm.
