ROCK END MOOR GRITSTONE FIREPLACES
The designs for Rock End Moor fireplaces are derived from over 25 years of experience in the restoration of period houses in the Pennine region. Sizes vary from "walk in" designs to miniature versions to suit modern living rooms. Each basic design is modified to suit individual circumstances and preferences, resulting in a unique and treasured fireplace for every customer.

Although the fireplaces vary in size and shape, they are generally composed of the same basic elements.

In some of the older houses the fireplace head is supported on 'corbels' which allow the jambs to be recessed so it is possible to get closer to the fire (diagram 2).
